I am currently pursuing a degree in linguistics from the University of Illinois. I am fluent in Spanish and English and adept at Italian, French, German, and Portuguese. I have worked with English language learners from around the world in my role as an ESL tutor. I am passionate about language and helping students study and learn new languages. I currently tutor a wide variety of courses, including biology, French 1 & 2, German, AP English language and composition, Italian, AP Spanish language and culture, Spanish 1-4, writing, essay editing, phonics, English, English grammar and syntax, conversational French, psychology, conversational Italian, conversational Spanish, AP Italian language and culture, science, IB social and cultural anthropology, languages, anthropology, introductory sociology, social sciences, and sociology. I also help students who are preparing for standardized exams such as the SAT and CLEP. I believe it is fundamental to the tutoring process to get to know my students as individuals. There needs to be a certain level of trust and comfort established if a student is to thrive. Further, I need to get to know my students if I am to discover their learning style and areas of interest in order to create the best individualized learning experience for them.
